As there are many identity providers, there are various terms used for the same thing. Please use this guide with the understanding that the titles might be different depending on the provider used.
An account will need to be established with the identity provider. Look for an Applications section in the chosen identity provider. You are looking for the section that allows you to register Application Control and look for the option for https links.
To establish the links, you need the following information:
-
Client ID:
-
Client Secret:
-
ServiceNow requires the Client Secret.
-
For Application Control, you can use Proof Key of Code Exchange (PKCE) instead of or in addition to the Client Secret.
-
-
A callback URL that must match exactly.
The SSO application provides additional URLs that Application Control and ServiceNow require. These are:
-
The Authorization URL.
-
The Token URL.
-
OIDC Metadata URL.
