Supporting Information for End User Sign In

This topic covers steps required the first time you connect to ServiceNow through Application Control. The end user follows these steps:

  1. Sign in to ServiceNow through Application Control.

  2. Application Control encrypts and stores the username and refresh token in %programdata%. Application Control does not store the end user's password.

  3. For subsequent sign-in events, Application Control uses the refresh token.

This refresh token has a default lifespan of 100 days; you can change the lifespan when you create the Application Control OAuth token.
