Application Control App Execution Aliases Enhancements
Application Control has been enhanced to detect and block execution through Windows App Execution Aliases and associated with 0 KB placeholder or symbolic link (symlink) files located in %localappdata%\Microsoft\WindowsApps.
MSIX support for Application Control
Application Control now supports MSIX applications (using Windows Store App Items), ensuring that configuration rules are correctly applied and enforced for modern packaged apps. This enhancement ensures that MSIX applications now behave consistently with other supported application types, correctly enforcing Application Control policies when selected and configured.
A new validation checkbox, Validate MSIX packages, is now available under Advanced Settings to enable additional package validation. For more information, see Advanced Settings.
Update to French Supported Languages
French is now included in the default Supported Languages set in the UWM console, ensuring legal compliance without requiring any additional configuration.
