Important upgrade information
This upgrade section contains functionality changes that have been introduced in Ivanti Environment Manager 2026.4.
When upgrading server and database infrastructure it is best to upgrade by no more than two major versions in each step. Upgrading three or four versions in one operation is not a method that has been tested and could produce unexpected behavior.
For further details relating to upgrades and compatibility please refer to the following Ivanti Community article.
New Features and Product Updates

Support for browsing MSIX packages from the UI
Administrators can now browse and select MSIX packages directly from the user interface. The package browser supports packages stored on local drives and UNC paths, and this support is reflected in the Configuration API. For more information, see Action Management.
Removal of default application utilities
Ivanti has removed the previously deprecated default application utilities: SetBrowserforUser.exe, SetMailClient.exe, and SetPDFViewer.exe. These utilities were deprecated due to incompatibility with changes introduced in Windows 11 for managing default applications and file/protocol associations.
Windows 11 does not support programmatic modification of user defaults, such as HTTP/HTTPS, MAILTO, and .pdf associations. This results in changes made by these utilities are ignored by the operating system. These utilities are no longer supported and must not be used.
UWM Hybrid - Configuration Management Utility
UWM Hybrid configurations can now be managed through the on-premises consoles. This improvement allows administrators to manage configurations published to the Neurons platform, including deleting configurations, removing versions, and promoting them. This provides enhanced flexibility in configuration management and facilitates faster recovery when it is necessary to deploy a previous configuration version. For more information, see UWM Hybrid - Configuration Management Utility.
