Common Tasks with the CAM Database

 This topic applies to on-premises installations.

Periodically, you may want to perform the following database maintenance tasks:

• Reset the database: Select Tools > Reset Data, then select either Files and Usage or History. The Files and Usage item clears all data and files with other extensions that you inventoried from before a specific date from the database. By default, Cherwell Asset Management automatically keeps one year of usage data and 90 days of historical data.
• Reindex the database: Select Tools > Reindex Database to reindex the tables. You may notice improved performance after a reindex.
