Options for Tracking Purchasing Information

Your organization can still track some purchasing information for licenses units, even if you're not licensed to use CAM Purchasing.

Cherwell Asset Management includes a web-based component for tracking purchasing and licensing information for software and hardware assets in your environment: Purchasing. This component is optional, so your organization may not have it in your CAM implementation.

If your organization is not licensed to use Purchasing, you can track some purchasing information for license units as follows:

From within CAM Administrator, select the license unit.
Select Properties.
Select the Purchasing tab.

You cannot enter or track information for any hardware assets you've added in CAM Administrator.
