Discover Oracle Databases Dialog Box

Learn to configure and execute Oracle Database discovery.

Getting There

Prerequisites

Before launching Oracle Database discovery, do the following:

  • Run Linux/Unix/Mac OS discovery to find Oracle Database instances in these environments.
  • Run virtual environment discovery. This process maps database instances that were found via Linux/Unix/Mac OS discovery to their virtual environments, and is necessary for gathering accurate licensing requirements.

If you haven't run network device discovery before, configure how it will run:

  1. Click Configure.
  2. Provide credentials for selected servers.
  3. When you've configured your discovery process, select Discover to run it.
