How to Create Custom Asset Data Fields

To create custom asset data fields:

1. Select Tools > Template > Asset.
2. In the Custom Asset Data tab, select New.
3. Enter a label (name) for your new field, as well as a description and type, then select OK.
4. Back in the Custom Asset Data tab, you can select New to add another custom field, or use the arrow buttons to change the order in which the custom fields will appear. Once you are satisfied with the custom fields, select OK to save them.
5. The custom fields you just created will now appear in the User-defined tab of the New Asset/Asset Properties dialog box. You can fill in the fields you created whenever you add or modify an asset.
