How to Delete an Asset Type

In the Other Assets Panel

1. Find the asset type you want to delete in the left pane.
2. Right-click it and select Delete from the context-sensitive menu.

From the Asset Template Dialog Box

1. Select Tools > Template > Asset.
2. Click the Asset Types tab.
3. Select an asset type from the list, then select Delete.
4. Click OK.

While Adding an Asset

1. Select File > New Asset.
2. In the New Asset dialog box, enter the name of the asset and fill in any other fields as needed.
3. Click Asset Types.
4. Select an asset type from the list, then select Delete.
5. Click OK.
6. Back in the New Asset dialog box, select OK again.

Notes:

• You can turn off the delete confirmation prompt by selecting the check box in the dialog box that displays the prompt, or in the Warnings tab of the Options dialog box.
• Any assets of the type you just deleted revert to the asset type of <Unknown>. You cannot delete the <Unknown> type.
