Metering

The metering component of Cherwell Asset Management tracks usage of the Windows applications and suites on your network so you can validate that the licenses you purchase are actually being utilized.  

Using the metering feature, you can:

• Specify for which applications usage will be tracked.
• Gather statistics on application launches to help determine the proper number of application licenses you need based on actual usage.

Notes:

• Because various organizations have differing agreements with particular software vendors, using metering does not necessarily guarantee that you will comply with all of your license agreements. You must carefully review each of your software license agreements to determine what rights, if any, you have to share programs among users.
• Metering is not supported on Mac OS machines.
