Network Device Template

Use the network device template to add additional properties for discovery, as well as additional object identifiers (OIDs) and custom network device types.

You can only change or delete user-defined custom properties. Fixed properties are defined in the Cherwell Software Identification Database (CSID) and you cannot change them.

The Network Device Template dialog box contains the following tabs:

• Custom Network Device Data: View, add, change, and delete custom properties. Any fields that are listed in this tab, both fixed and custom, can be selected whenever you use the New/Change Custom Data Property dialog box to add a new custom property for network devices.
• Device Types: There are several custom network device types available by default. You can also create your own and add custom values to it.
