What Are Baselines?

Baselines are a minimum or starting point, used to compare changes in your hardware and software inventory.

Baselines allow you to compare changes in your hardware and software inventory. When you set a particular inventory level as your baseline, the What's Changed and What's Changed: Added or Deleted Machines reports will measure the changes that have occurred against this baseline.

You can configure multiple baselines and run reports against any or all of them. You can compare the current state against any baseline, or compare two baselines against each other.

To create a baseline:

• From the Tools menu, select Configure Baselines.

To access your reports:

• Select View Reports on the toolbar.
