Communicating with an Access Point via SSL
CAM Agents can communicate with the CAM Access Point via Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) in these situations:
- The access point's website uses an SSL certificate signed by a common Certificate Authority such as VeriSign. In this case, the machine most likely already trusts the certificate.
- The access point's website uses an SSL certificate not signed by a common Certificate Authority.
In this case, see How to Enable SSL Communications for instructions on how to ensure that each machine trusts the certificate.
