Running Web Components on Workstation Versions of Windows

You may experience issues running Cherwell Asset Management web components (the CAM Access Point, Authentication, Reporting, Purchasing, and License Analytics) on machines that are running workstation versions of Windows. In these cases, the machine's status may appear to hang at the "Waiting for agent check in" message, and you may see a firewall notification message that lets you know that Cherwell Asset Management has already been associated with Inbound rules and that web services need to be configured.

This occurs when the Windows firewall is not allowing inbound connections. To correct this problem, you can disable the firewall or change its configuration.
