User groups are groupings of users that you define. When you first start using Cherwell Asset Management, there are no user groups. Use these groups to help organize your users in ways that make sense for your organization. You can use user groups to control what data is displayed in certain reports, and to indicate contract affinity in Purchasing.
Any user groups you create will display in their own folders in the Users panel.
The group is created as a top-level folder in the tree unless an existing user group is selected. If a group is selected, the new group is created within the existing group.
