Application Identification
Application identification is the process that compares data gathered from agent Windows machines with data in the Cherwell Software Identification Database (CSID). Application identification associates collected files with CSID applications, and creates application versions and license units in the CAM Database for these identified applications.
Application identification of Windows applications automatically runs on a scheduled basis, which you can specify in the Schedule tab of the Options dialog box. You can also run it manually by selecting .
