How to Add a Contract Type

Contract types help describe contracts. You can add your own contract type, or use the defaults.

To add a contract type from the Preferences panel:

  1. From the CAM Purchasing console, select Preferences.
  2. From the Preferences panel, select Contract Types.
  3. On the toolbar, select Add Contract Type.
  4. Enter a name for the new contract type and select Save.

To add a contract type when adding a contract:

  1. In the Type field, select New.
  2. Enter a new name, or add one from the Preferences panel.

The new contract type now appears in the list, and you can select it whenever you add or edit a contract.
