Contract Templates

Purchasing provides the following templates for creating new contracts. Select the one best suited for your product use rights, and then you can complete the fields in the contract as needed:

• Microsoft Enterprise Agreement: When you add this type of contract, you have the option to specify that all OEM software is covered by this contract. These contracts are generally intended for midsize to large businesses.
• Microsoft non-Enterprise volume contracts: With these contracts, you can specify whether software assurance (a Microsoft maintenance program)  is included with the software, and whether all OEM software is covered by it. These contracts are generally intended for midsize to large businesses. You apply this contract to groups of machines; the Groups field is required. Templates in this category include: Microsoft Open License, Microsoft Open Value, Microsoft Open Value Subscription, Microsoft Open Value Subscription for Government, Microsoft Product and Services Agreement, Microsoft Select Agreement, and Microsoft Select Plus Agreement.
• MSDN Agreement: These contracts cover MSDN subscriptions on a per-user basis.
• Other Contract: A generic template used for non-Microsoft agreements.
