Troubleshooting: Can't Open Linked Document

You may see an error message if you attempt to open a linked document that is on a UNC path in these situations:

• The file name contains a pound sign (#).
• Your browser blocked access. You can change your browser's security settings or use the following workaround.

In both situations, you can upload a document instead. Alternatively, you can put the document on a web server and specify its URL, rather than browse for it. For example, type something like this:

http://iisserver/purchasing-documents/application-serialnumbers.txt
