Configure Color Palette Security Groups

In order to create or edit Color Palettes, a User must be a part of a Security Group that has Theme Management enabled. Use the Rights tab in the Security Group Manager to assign Color Palette View, Edit, Delete, or Create rights to Users.

To assign Color Palette security rights to Users:
  1. In the CSM Administrator, select the Security category.
  2. Click Edit security groups. The Security Group Manager opens.
  3. Select the Rights tab.
  4. Select a Security Group from the Group drop-down (example: Administrator).
  5. From the Category drop-down, select Themes. Theme Management is the only available Security Right for the Themes category.
  6. Select one or more checkboxes:
    1. View: Users in the selected Security Group can view all Color Palette options in the Color Pattern Manager.
    2. Add: Users in the selected Security Group can add new Color Palettes to the system.
    3. Edit: Users in the selected Security Group can edit existing Color Palettes.
    4. Delete: Users in the selected Security Group can delete custom Color Palettes.

If a User is not part of a Security Group with access to Color Palettes and the Color Palette Manager, the option is disabled in the Desktop Client (Desktop Client Toolbar > Dashboards > Color Palette Manager).

  7. Repeat Steps 4-6 for all desired Security Groups.
  8. Close the Security Group Manager.
