Configure Third-party Chat Integration Settings

Third-party chat integrations, such as adding Slack to the Related Items pane, must be enabled at a global level before they are available to users. Access third-party chat integrations settings from CSM Administrator.

This task is part of a larger workflow: Configure Slack for the Related Items Pane.

To enable a third-party chat integration:

  1. From CSM Administrator, go to Settings > Edit Third-party Chat Integration Settings.
  2. Select the page for the integration you want to enable. For example, select the Slack page.
  3. Provide settings as required for your integration. For example, for a Slack integration, set these options:
    Option Description
    Enable Slack Integration Select this check box to enable Slack for the Related Item Navigation section for Business Object Forms. If this check box is cleared, the Chat tab does not appear in the Related Item Navigation area.
    OAuth Token Provide an OAuth token provided by Slack. See https://api.slack.com/start/overview#auth.
    Test Select Test to verify the OAuth token.
  4. Select OK.
Note: If the OAuth token is changed, you must stop and start the Cherwell Application Server.
