Configure the BeyondTrust API

Configure the API in the BeyondTrust console.

Note: This functionality is only available if you have applied the BeyondTrust Remote Support mApp® Solution. For more information, refer to the mApp Solution Tech Notes documentation.

The menu options may vary slightly depending on your BeyondTrust version. Refer to BeyondTrust documentation for further information.

To configure the BeyondTrust API:

Log in to the BeyondTrust console.
Select the Management menu option.
Select API Configuration on the lower menu bar.
Select Create New API Account.
1. Provide a Name (example: Cherwell Service Management).
2. Select the Enabled check box.
3. Under Command API, select the Full Access option.
4. Under Reporting API, select all of the check boxes.
5. Under the following options, select the Allow Access check box:
  1. Backup API
  2. Real-time State API
  3. Endpoint Credential Manager API
Leave Network Restrictions blank.
Copy the OAuth Client ID and save it for future use (this is the API Client ID).
Select Generate New Client Secret.
Copy the OAuth Client Secret and save it for future use (this is the API Client Secret).
Select Save.
