Enabling LDAP Authentication for Users

Before a directory service can work with CSM, LDAP must be enabled as a supported login mode in CSM Security Settings.

Regardless of the type of directory service being used, the selections for this setting all refer to LDAP in the user interface.

LDAP authentication does not fall back to Windows authentication if LDAP authentication is unsuccessful. Enable Windows authentication to verify credentials with a Windows domain using native Windows APIs.

To enable LDAP authentication:

In the CSM Administrator main window, select Security > Edit security settings.
In the Security Settings window, select Desktop Client.
Under Supported login modes, select the LDAP check box.
Select OK.
