Create an External HTML Page
Create an external HTML page to display an existing website on a Portal Site.
To create an External HTML page:
- Open the HTML Page Manager.
- (Optional) Select a scope and subfolder.
- Select Create New > External HTML Page.
- Provide a name and description (these can be searched in the CSM Item Managers).
- Select Options.
- Select a scope from the Availability drop-down list.
If you already selected a scope at the beginning, this is autopopulated with your selection.
- Select an association from the drop-down list. If applicable, select a more filtered scope (example: A particular team). <Automatic> applies scope based on login. If not applicable, this option is not available.
- For a custom image, select the Image, and then select an existing image or import a new image to represent the item in the UI.
- Select OK.
- Select a scope from the Availability drop-down list.
- Enter the URL for the external page or select Browse to open a browser window to locate the site.
- Select a display option:
- Open page in new browser window: Display the HTML page in a new browser window when it is accessed.
- Display within portal page: Display the HTML page within the Portal window. Then, specify the height of the embedded window.
- Select Save.
