About Directory Services

On the General Options page of the Map an Object window, the Directory Service drop-down list shows a complete list of available vendors.

The following list of vendors are available:

• Active Directory Domain Service (Microsoft)
• LDAP: Generic and OpenLDAP (open source implementation)
• eDirectory (NetIQ)
• IBM Tivoli Directory Server
• iPlanet Directory Server
• Netscape Directory

  After a particular vendor is chosen, CSM displays that name (example: Active Directory) throughout the system.
