Configure Third-party Chat Integration Settings for Slack
Third-party chat integrations, such as adding Slack to the Related Items pane, must be enabled at a global level before they are available to users. Access third-party chat integrations settings from CSM Administrator.
This task is part of a larger workflow: Configure Slack for the Related Items Pane.
To enable Slack integration:
To enable a third-party chat integration:
- From CSM Administrator, go to Settings > Edit Third-party Chat Integration Settings.
- On the General page, select Enable Chat Integration, and then from the Provider Type drop-down list, select Slack.
- On the General page, select Enable Chat Integration, and then from the Provider Type drop-down list, select Slack.
- Select the Slack page.
- Provide settings as required for your integration by setting these options:
Option Description OAuth Token Provide an OAuth token provided by Slack. See https://api.slack.com/start/overview#auth. Test Select Test to verify the OAuth token. - Select OK.
If the OAuth token is changed, you must stop and start the Cherwell Application Server.
