Predefined Agent Policies
There are two out-of-the-box policies that you can use. These policies have default capabilities pre-selected, which can be added to, or removed, except where stated. Learn more about the capabilities.
Infrastructure Agents
Agents using the Infrastructure Agents policy are intended to support the administration of Ivanti Neurons in your network. The infrastructure agents policy is a good basis to start from when you want to use connectors and do agent deployment. The policy cannot be renamed or deleted. Additional capabilities can be added or removed, but the following capabilities are mandatory and cannot be removed:
- Deployment
- Connectors
- Active Discovery
- Passive Discovery
- Inventory
- Automation
Default Agents
The Default Agents policy is a basic policy to help get you started. The policy can be edited freely and works like any policy you may create yourself. Any capability (including the ones that are initially enabled) can be added or removed. The policy can also be renamed or deleted. The following initial capabilities are enabled:
- Automation
- Inventory
- Edge Intelligence
- Passive Discovery
Some capabilities are license dependent.
