Other Product Management Operations
Besides publishing products to Intune, you can also delete product versions from Intune, stop managing products, select icons to associate with products, and choose whether or not to publish x86 versions to Intune.

Sometimes you might want to delete versions of products that you have published to Intune. Ivanti Neurons Patch for Intune simplifies this by handling any supersedence chains that may exist.
To delete products from Intune, your account needs the following Intune permissions: MobileApps, Delete and ManagedApps, Delete.
To delete a specific version:
- On the Products tab, select the required product.
The product page appears. - In the table, select the version you want to delete, then click Delete from Intune.
The Delete Version panel appears, giving different options depending on whether the version has a supersedence relationship. - If there is no supersedence chain, the dialog reports this. Click Delete. The version is deleted.
If there is a supersedence chain, there are two options: - Delete Child Applications: Deletes all child versions in the supersedence chain. The versions that will be deleted are listed.
- Reconcile Supersedence Chain: Deletes only the selected version and remaps any child versions to its parent to reconcile the supersedence chain. Click Preview to see a visualization of the change.
When you have selected the option you require, click Delete. The deletion starts with the supersedence chain updated as selected.

If you stop managing products, new versions of those products are not published to Intune.
To remove products from Intune, you must do that from your Intune environment.
To stop managing products:
- In the dashboard at the top of the page, select the Managed Products tile.
- In the table at the bottom of the page, select the products to stop managing.
- Select Stop managing.
This button is disabled if you select an unmanaged product.
If successful, the count on the Managed Products tile is decremented and the count on the Unmanaged Products tile is incremented.

Most applications have a default icon that appears alongside them in the company portal. You can change this icon if required, for example to highlight company-endorsed products.
To select the icon that appears in the company portal:
- On the Products tab, select the required product.
The product page appears. - Click Manage Icon.
The Manage Product Icon dialog appears, showing a preview of the current icon if there is one.
From this dialog you can: - Choose an icon: Click Browse to view the Select icon dialog, from where you can upload new custom icons, select from icons that have already been uploaded to your system, and delete uploaded icons.
- Delete custom icon: Click Unmap to remove the custom icon from the product and restore the default icon, or click Unmap and delete to additionally delete the custom icon.
If you choose to delete an icon, you are warned if it is currently in use for a product.

While some products have only an x64 installer or a universal installer, other products have separate x86 and x64 installers. In these cases, you can choose not to publish the x86 installers to Intune.
To include or exclude x86 installers:
- Open Admin > Patch for Intune Settings.
- Under Publish Settings enable or disable Include x86 as required.
A dialog appears describing the effect of the change. - Click Update.
If you change to include x86 installers, you are asked if you would like to republish x86 installers for existing versions of your managed applications.
If you change to exclude x86 installers, you are asked if you would like to delete x86 installers from Intune for existing versions of your managed applications.
These updates may take some time, depending on the number of applications in your Intune instance.
