Adding Notes to Products Published to Intune

When you have many apps added to Intune, it can be difficult to identify the source, scope, and purpose of them all. To help with this, you can configure information to be included in the Notes field in Intune when products are published there from Ivanti Neurons Patch for Intune.

To add notes to products published to Intune:

  1. Open Admin > Patch for Intune Settings.
  2. Under Publish Settings in the Fields to include in notes section, select the options you want to include in the Notes field in Intune:
    Scope (only available if you are using scopes): the names of the Intune scopes in which the product is available.
    Published by (Ivanti): indicates that the product originates from Ivanti Neurons Patch for Intune.
    Source: identifies if the product originates from the Ivanti catalog or a custom catalog (for information about creating custom products, see Creating Products).
  3. Optionally, in Custom Notes enter any further notes you require.
  4. Click Preview to see an example of how the note will appear in Intune.
  5. Click Save.
    The setting is saved. Whenever a product is published to Intune, the selected notes are added to the corresponding app in Intune. Notes are not added retrospectively.
