Setting Options for the Messaging Tab

Use the Messaging tab to enable sending SMS messaging (Short Message Service) to GoldMine Web for reminders of upcoming scheduled activities.

IMPORTANT: Before GoldMine can send Activity reminders, sending must be enabled within the GoldMine system (Tools > Configure > System Settings > Messaging tab). See Configuring System Settings.

Navigate to Tools > Options. The Options dialog box opens.

Click on the Messaging tab.

Check the Send activity alarms as a message to my device box.

Specify the GoldMine user’s e-mail address used for receiving SMS messages in the E-mail address for the mobile device text box.

NOTE: This option is also available for non-master rights users provided that message sending has already been enabled in the Messaging tab in the System Settings (see Configuring System Settings).

Click OK to save the settings and close the dialog.
