About GoldMine Licenses
The single, distributed Master License serves as the authentication mechanism for secure synchronization across the entire organization, and the License Manager keeps track of your licensing configurations.
Most organizations generally buy one license—a Master License with X number of seats. These seats can then be assigned to users in various combinations of sub-licenses. For example, an organization can create Site sub-licenses for their remote office(s) and Undocked sub-licenses for individual remot (mobile) users. One seat should always be set aside for administrators.
NOTE: When using Outlook Integration with GoldMine, exactly 1 concurrent license is used if you have GoldMine open and/or are connected to GoldMine within Outlook.
GoldMine Web does not require a separate license; a GoldMine Premium concurrent license is used by each Web session.
Each login uses licenses as described below:
■ Users can log in to GoldMine Premium Edition and GoldMine Web concurrently. However, this is not recommended practice and will use 2 licenses.
■ GoldMine Web:
GoldMine Web is available to all users and each login uses a concurrent GoldMine Premium license per session. You cannot be logged into to GoldMine Web from 2 different browsers or 2 different machines. The second login will automatically log out the first session. Users are automatically logged out of the GoldMine Web after 30 minutes of inactivity and the license is released.
