Reports Layout Local Menu

To access the local menu, right-click within the report editing window. The reports local menu has the following options:

■ Save: Save the report to the file name specified when the report was created or cloned, or save alterations to an existing report.

■ Edit: Edit items placed on the report including copying, pasting, text formatting, and editing expressions.

■ Insert: Insert labels, sections, data fields, expressions, graphics, and pictures.

■ Arrange: Alter the alignment and spacing of report items.

■ Center: Position the selected field box in the center of the report page.

■ Named Font: Add, edit, and delete a named font.

■ Font Expression: Add, edit, delete, and rename a font expression.

■ Grid Settings: Switch the Snap to Grid option on to position new items consistently. Edit the grid thickness for smaller, finer grids.

■ Printer Setup: Access the Printer Setup dialog box.

■ Report Settings: Access a submenu with these options:

○ Options: Alter margins, display or hide the ruler, and set the date format.

○ Filter Sort condition used to select a subset of records from the entire database.: Base the report on an embedded filter so, when run, it applies only to records matching the filter. An alternative is to activate a filter in GoldMine and run a global report on just those records.

■ Dialog Fields Table: Create, edit, and delete report dialog fields (fields that can be inserted into a report for user input).
