Configuring User Settings for GoldMine Connect
For a user to retrieve email while logged into GoldMine Web, you must enable the user's email account for auto‑retrieval in GoldMine Premium Edition. If the email address is in GoldMine, the message will be automatically linked to the contact. For sent messages, linking is only done for the first address in the To: field. With this release, it is not possible to manually link messages in Web. Received emails are retrieved as Pending items. Sent emails are retrieved as History items.
A Master user can set up more than one user at a time, but each user must be set up sequentially.
Configure User Email accounts for Auto-retrieve from GoldMine Premium Edition

Log into GoldMine Premium Edition as a Master user. |

Go to Tools > Users’ Settings... and select a user. |
|

Click the Preferences button, select the E-Mail tab then click the Accounts... button. |

Ensure that the account is highlighted and click Edit... |

|
Select the Auto-retrieve checkbox then click OK for E-mail Account Properties, E-mail Options, and <username> Options dialogs. |

If you have finished editing users click the Close button |

Select another user account and repeat the procedure.
NOTE: Users can configure their own e-mail preferences using the procedure seen in Setting Options for the E-mail Tab
Setting User Passwords
To use GoldMine Web all users must be assigned both usernames and passwords. Both are required at the GoldMine Web login page for security reasons. If a password is not assigned, the GoldMine Web login will fail.

Log into GoldMine Premium Edition as a Master user. |

Go to Tools > Users’ Settings > Properties > Profile Tab > Security section and select a user. |

Assign a password and click OK. |

4.

Edit settings for other users. |

5.
|
When you are finished click the Close button. |
Ensure that you communicate the password to each user.
