Group Log Entries
You can group multiple log entries into single report rows according to the values in one or more column log entries.
Prerequisites
You must select a template that displays query results in the Log Explorer window.
- Right-click the column header row to display the field names for the fields displayed in the Results panel.
A right-mouse menu appears showing all the column names. - Select Group by from the menu.
- Check the column you want to group your template query results by.
The log report results are grouped by the column you selected. Primary groups are denoted by a green circle shown in the column title when a column is used to group results, as illustrated by the following: You can repeat the above procedure to create subgroups. Secondary subgroups are denoted by a blue circle with the number 2 shown in the column title when a column is used to group results.
