Ongoing Maintenance for the New DSM Integration

Changing the Synchronization Interval

To change how often the application synchronizes the data between DSM and Service Manager, which is defined as the refresh interval, do the following:

1.From the Configuration console, click Build > Business Objects to open the Business Objects workspace.

2.Open the FRS_WS_DSM_Software business object.

3.Adjust the value of the Refresh Interval parameter.

Resetting the Cache

The cache reset interval specifies how often to reset the cache. However, you may need to reset the DSM cache immediately without waiting for the entire time period to pass. For example, if new software is added to the DSM Console and you want to view it without waiting for the data to synchronize, you can reset the cache.

To reset the DSM cache, do the following:

1.From the Configuration console, click Configure > Cache Management to open the Cache Management workspace.

2.From the Business objects that marked as external synchronized drop-down list, select FRS_WS_DSM_Software.

3.Click Invalidate synchronized data.

4.From the Business objects that marked as external synchronized drop-down list, select FRS_WS_DSM_SoftwareRevision.

5.Click Invalidate synchronized data.
