LocalDayOfWeek

Returns the value for the day of the week for the local date.

In Service Manager, the beginning of the week is Sunday.

LocalDayOfWeek(utcDateTime, timeZone)

Parameters

utcDateTime (Optional) The DateTime value for which to find the day of the week.
timeZone

(Optional) The time zone, in IANA format. If you do not specify a time zone, the application uses the time zone associated with the current session.

Return Value

Number between 1 and 7.

Example

$(LocalDayOfWeek())

If today is Wednesday April 10, 2014 at 13:45:26 in the current time zone, this function returns 4.

 

$(LocalDayOfWeek(CreatedDateTime))

Returns the day of the week in the current time zone when the incident was created.

 

$(LocalDayOfWeek(CreatedDateTime, "Antarctica/South_Pole"))

Returns the day of the week in the Antarctica time zone when the incident was created.
