Release Managers are responsible for creating, managing, and executing all aspects of a release, including preplanning, testing, documentation, training, and so on.

Change Manager

Change Managers typically create and then request a release for a change.

Other User Roles

Problem Managers, Service Desk Analysts, and Service Desk Managers may view releases.

Other Service Manager user roles, including (but not limited to) Problem Managers, Change Managers, Service Desk Analysts, and Service Desk Managers, can be identified as stakeholders for a specific release.

Other Service Manager user roles, including (but not limited to) Problem Managers, Change Managers, Service Desk Analysts, and Service Desk Managers, can be set up as approvers for a specific release milestone.

Release Manager Tasks

Release Managers implement changes to ensure that they are carried out effectively and safely, and verified with minimum impact and risk to the organization.

Release Managers plan, monitor, and implement releases in coordination with change management.
