Working with Attachment Types
You can view the allowed attachment file types, add new file type, and delete existing file type from the allowed list.
Default Attachment Types
The default attachment types are:
.avi

.bmp

.cer

.csv

.doc

.mhtml

Only administrators can add and delete attachment file types.
Adding an Attachment File Type
Follow these steps to create an attachment type that is not listed.
1.From the Configuration console, click Configure > Security Controls > Allowed File Extensions. The application lists the file extensions that are allowed.
2.Click Add New. The Add File Mask dialog box is displayed.
3.Enter the file type in the File Mask field in the format *.<extension type>. For example, *.exe
or *.jpg
.
4.Click Save. The new file type is added to the list.
Deleting an Attachment File Type
1.From the Configuration console, click Configure > Security Controls > Allowed File Extensions. The application lists the file extensions that are allowed.
2.Click the delete icon next to the file type to remove.
3.Click Yes to confirm the deletion. The deleted file type is removed from the list.
Deleting a file type from the list does not remove attached files from the database.
