EvalField

Returns the value of a given field. This function is useful for getting the value from other business objects as long as you have the RecID.

Syntax

EvalField(tableRef, recId, fieldName)

Parameters

Parameter Description

tableRef

The business object being referenced.

recId

The RecID of the business object.

fieldName

The name of the field to evaluate.

Return Value

Text value.

Example

$(EvalField("Incident#", recId, "TeamManagerEmail"))

This returns the email address of the team manager for the specified incident.
