Importing Medical Devices from Manual File Upload

1.Log in to Neurons for ITSM as an Administrator.

2.Open the Configuration console.

3.Select Data Import Connections > AM Excel Assets and upload the excel file with the Medical Devices data.

4.In the Object Matching page, select Medical Devices from the drop-down list and click Next.

5.Make sure the column names in the excel sheet you upload matches the fields in the LHS of the field mapping page.

6.Click Next > Preview >Publish and Run Now.

Adding the Form View for Medical Devices in CI workspace

1.After the records are processed, to open the Medical Device Type of Asset in the CI workspace, to need to add a Form View to the Layout that is used by the Administrator.

2.From the Configuration console, select Business Objects > CI Layouts.

3.Open the Layout that is used for Administrator role.

4.Under Views, select Add new Form View.

5.Set the Form view definition for option to CI.ivnt_MedicalDevices.

6.Set the Display Name to Medical Devices.

7.Set the Main Form to AM.MedicalDevices.Header.

8.Under Child Panels, any number of child tabs can be added by specifying the relationship and which Form or List to be used. The Edit option next to the Toolbar allows adding special buttons, Actions, and Commands to the Form View.

This form view is available in AM.Asset.Default Layout for Asset Manager role. The same can be replicated for the Administratorrole as well.

9.Once the Form View is defined based on the requirement, go back to Edit Layout and open the grid view.

10.Under Preview Form set the CI.ivnt_MedicalDevices to use AM.MedicalDevices.Brief.

11.Under On request to create new object show set the CI.ivnt_MedicalDevices to use the Form View created in step 4.

12.Under On request to view or edit existing object set the CI.ivnt_MedicalDevices to use the Form View created in step 4.
