Assigning Resources in a Project Phase
With the addition of resource capacity, you can select and updates resources from the Project Phase itself.
Selecting a Resource
1.Log in as a Portfolio Manager, Project Manager, or Demand Manager.
2.Open the Project Phase workspace.
3.Select a Phase from the list.
4.Select the Resourcing tab.
5.Select Start Date and End Date for when you need a resource.
6.Select a Role from the drop-down list.
7.Click Update Resources. Click the Refresh icon.
8.If a resource exists with availability that intersects the chosen date range, the Select a Resource button appears.
Note: If you don't see the Select a Resource button, you need to find an employee that is not already assigned to other tasks and add dates for their availability.
9.Choose a resource from the drop-down list.
10.Click Save.
11.Click View Calendar to see the PPM Resources Calendar or click Create New Task to create a new task.
