Working with PPM Resources
Ivanti Neurons for PPM adds several enhancements to the OOTB Project Phase object.
•The Resource Plan tab is for tracking the high-level resource needs for a Demand. There are no assignments or Tasks associated with the entries on the Resource Planning tab.
•Use the Resourcing tab to check Roles to see if they are available to execute the scope of the Demand in the timeframe requested. From the Resourcing tab, you can create Tasks for the resources. Depending on your organization's needs, you might do this in the Evaluating phase or the Assessing phase.
•Project Skills allow Project Managers to assign Skills to resources and filter resources by the Skills necessary to complete a Project Task.
•A Capacity view for the Resourcing tab allows users to select a Role and Date/Time, then return a view of all Resources for the selected role and their available capacity for the given date range. This feature allows Project Managers to get a broader view of availability by role resource.
Prior to using the resourcing features, set up PPM Roles in the Configuration console using the Project Role object.
