Configuring Network Share Locations for Ivanti Voice Server Recordings

You can configure Ivanti Voice to store all server-based conversation recordings on a shared network storage (as opposed to the local storage, which is the default option). To do this, both the Ivanti Voice server computer and the computer providing the network storage must be members of the same Windows domain.

The Ivanti Voice server (including the recording component) runs under the local system user. Therefore, the network share must grant write permissions to the Ivanti Voice server computer (not to the domain user). The Ivanti Voice server computer is then configured to automatically map the network drive for the local system user, and use the drive for recordings.

The configuration consists of two procedures: one set for the storage computer and another for the Ivanti Voice server computer. Log into Windows as a user with administrative rights to perform both procedures.
