User Codes
The User Ids page lets you create a code that can be used to log into a phone in the Ivanti Voice environment and override the original COR/forwarding configuration of the phone. The phone’s original COR/forwarding configuration is replaced by the COR/forwarding configuration of the user entering the code.
To Create a User Code:
1.On the Management Portal menu window, click System Configuration > SIP Server > User Codes. The User Ids page opens.
2.In the empty field in the extension column, enter a numeric user code.
3.Click Add. This is the code the user dials to assume control of the extension. This code becomes a virtual extension, capable of receiving and originating calls. The phone's original extension still can be used to receive calls.
To Delete a User Code:
•Click the red x icons on the Users page (Management Portal > System Configuration > SIP Server>User Codes).

Forwarding Tab
You can configure the SIP Soft Switch to forward calls to this user.
To Configure the User Code Forwarding Tab:
- On the Management Portal menu window, click System Configuration > SIP Soft Switch > User Codes. Click the link on the User Codes page to configure user code settings.
- Click the Forwarding tab. you can configure the phone to modify the destination number under one or more of the following circumstances:
•Unconditional Forwarding - The phone modifies the destination number for all calls.
•Forward on No Answer (timeout) - The call destination does not answer within the time limit you specify in the No answer timeout field. The time limit you specify cannot exceed 120 seconds. The default is 40 seconds.
•Forward on Busy - The call destination is busy.
A network might use ringbacks, which are ring tones the caller hears while the network tries to connect the call. If the phone is busy, several seconds may pass before the caller actually hears the busy signal.
•Forward on No Response (Failure) - The call destination does not provide at least a provisional response within the time limit specified in the No response timeout field. The default is 4 seconds.
•Forward when Not Registered (Phone is Off) - The call destination does not have an IP address registered with the SIP Soft Switch.
For each circumstance, configure the following:
•Strip, # of digits - The number of digits the SIP Soft Switch removes automatically from the beginning of the telephone numbers of forwarded calls. This feature is useful for stripping a 9 from a telephone number before sending a call to a gateway. The default value is 0, meaning the SIP Soft Switch does not remove any digits.
•Prefix with these digits - The digits the SIP Soft Switch prefixes automatically to the beginning of the telephone numbers of forwarded calls. This feature is useful for adding a mandatory prefix such as 011 to international calls. The default value is empty, meaning the SIP Soft Switch does not add any numbers to the beginning of the numbers dialed from this phone. The SIP Soft Switch disables this feature if you do not specify the digits to prefix.
