SIP-Enabled Desktop Phone Configuration
Configure these settings (if present) on each SIP-enabled desktop phone in your environment. Refer to the instruction manual included with the phone as necessary.
•Desktop phone static IP address of phone
•Desktop phone subnet mask
•Desktop phone UDP port (usually 5060)
•Default gateway
•SIP Soft Switch address and port (set according to the SIP Soft Switch configuration)
•Secondary SIP Soft Switch address and port (set according to the SIP Soft Switch configuration, or to the address and port of a secondary server if you have one)
•Outbound proxy (set to the SIP Soft Switch address)
•Registrar (set to the SIP Soft Switch address and port)
•User or number (set to the telephone number for the phone as specified in the dial plan)
•User name and password (set to the values defined in the dial plan for this endpoint; you do not need to configure these settings if you did not specify a username and password for this endpoint in the dial plan)
