Agent Health Dashboard
To access the Agent Health page, go to Agents > Agent Health.
This dashboard displays the number of unique endpoints, those in a good, moderate, or poor health status, endpoints currently having an agent deployed to them, and a list of duplicates agent endpoints. The overall status is determined by the lowest status regardless of the number of issues.
For example, if the device had 3 good, 3 moderate, and 1 poor issue, the overall health status would be poor. The endpoints available are:
-
Unique endpoints: Individual endpoints known to Agent Health.
-
Endpoints in poor health: Agent endpoints with a potentially critical issue.
-
Endpoints in moderate health: Agent endpoints with an out-of-date component issue.
-
End points in good health: Fully functioning agent endpoints.
-
Agent deployments: Endpoints currently in the process of having an agent installed.
-
Duplicates: Endpoint devices with the same Agent ID, showing incorrectly multiple times.
Duplicates can currently occur when an endpoint is re-imaged on a regular basis, before the original agent is uninstalled from the system. In this situation, duplicates endpoints will be displayed. It is possible to remove duplicates by navigating to the main Agent > Agent Management > Agent Check-in filter > Duplicates, selecting the devices and choosing ‘Remove Agent Endpoint’ from the Actions menu.
Pie-charts
The Agent Health also displays pie-charts for Check-in, Agent version, and Running policy.
-
Check-in: This chart provides the check-in information and the state for the Agents. Learn more about Check-in.
-
Agent version: This chart provides the Agent version information and the state. Learn more about Agent version.
-
Running policy: This chart provides the running policy version information and the state. Learn more about Running policy.
Things to do:
-
Users can drill down into each Health Summary or Pie chart to get a filtered list of endpoints suffering from a specific problem. Users can also utilize filters at the top of each column to filter the list of endpoints further.
For example: Only Show me agent endpoints containing the text 'DEU' and/or the Policy that contains 'DEU'. -
It is also possible to drill down into the exact health status of an endpoint in the filtered list to see the exact health indicators and their health status.
-
Once you have drilled down into a filtered list of agent endpoints, it is possible to sort the columns. If you sort by the 'Policy' column, the built-in policies (Infrastructure Agents and Default Agents) are not sorted alphabetically (as they are special, out-of-the-box policies). These built-in policies are sorted to the end of the list.
-
Ensure to remove any filters that are applied as they will also be used across new drill-downs.
-
Refresh button at the top right corner of the screen only re-requests the latest status information for the agent.
-
Exporting to CSV: It is also possible to export the list of endpoints to a text or CSV file using the Export option.
The Check-in, Agent version, and Policy version charts provide more information on the health state of the agent endpoint. The table below provides details on the health indicators and remediation steps for moderate and poor states.
Check-in
Check-in will force the agent endpoint to check-in.
This check-in will only work if the agent has already received a policy. If an agent is still in the pre-registration phase of installation, the 'Request check-in' and 'Request check-in and update binaries' will not work yet. The policy includes information that tells the agent how to connect and must be included.
'Request check-in and update binaries' command will force the agent to check-in and look for updated engines. This will only work if the agent already has a policy present.
It is not currently possible to multi-select endpoints and choose the 'Request Check-in or Request check-in and update binaries' option. This can currently only be performed on an individual endpoint.
State | Health Indicator | Description | Remedy |
---|---|---|---|
Good | Agent is checking-in. | The agent has checked-in successfully within the last 7 days. | N/A |
Moderate |
Agent check-in is overdue. |
The agent has not checked-in between 7 and 90 days. |
Wait for the Agent on the endpoint to automatically check-in or perform a manual agent check-in, and update binaries, by running STUILauncher.exe from within the %ProgramFiles%\Ivanti\Ivanti Cloud Agent folder on the endpoint. |
Moderate |
Agent check-in is overdue. |
The agent has not checked-in over 90 days. |
Perform a manual agent check-in, and update binaries, by running STUILauncher.exe from within the %ProgramFiles%\Ivanti\Ivanti Cloud Agent folder on the endpoint. |
Moderate |
Information has not been reported. |
The agent has never successfully checked-in. |
Reinstall the agent. |
Agent version
State | Health Indicator | Description | Remedy |
---|---|---|---|
Good |
Agent version is Up to date.
The expected agent version {runningAgentVersion} is installed. |
The agent currently installed and running on the endpoint is the expected agent version.
|
N/A |
Moderate |
Agent version is Higher than expected.
Agent version {runningAgentVersion} is installed. The minimum expected version is {expectedAgentVersion}.
|
The agent currently installed and running on the endpoint is version {agent version}. The minimum agent version expected is {expected agent version}. |
Wait for the Agent on the endpoint to automatically check-in or perform a manual agent check-in by running STUILauncher.exe from within the %ProgramFiles%\Ivanti\Ivanti Cloud Agent folder on the endpoint. |
Moderate |
Agent version is Out of date.
Agent version {runningAgentVersion} is installed, but version {expectedAgentVersion} is available.
|
The agent currently installed and running on the endpoint is version {agent version}. However, the agent version expected is {expected agent version}. |
Wait for the Agent on the endpoint to automatically check-in or perform a manual agent check-in by running STUILauncher.exe from within the %ProgramFiles%\Ivanti\Ivanti Cloud Agent folder on the endpoint. |
Moderate |
Agent version is Not reported. Information has not been reported.
|
Information regarding the installed and running agent on the endpoint has not been reported yet. |
Wait for the Agent on the endpoint to automatically check-in or perform a manual check-in by running STUILauncher.exe from within the %ProgramFiles%\Ivanti\Ivanti Cloud Agent folder on the endpoint. |
Running policy
State | Health Indicator | Description | Remedy |
---|---|---|---|
Good |
Policy is Up to date.
The agent has the expected policy {runningPolicyName} at version {runningPolicyVersion}. |
The agent is running the correct version of a specific policy.
|
