Installing SQL Server Express

Please select Microsoft SQL Express as database system in the dialog where you configure the management database. Make sure that there are no conflicts with other database systems installed on the database server.

• Select the option Microsoft SQL Express > Install SQL Express.Make sure that the setup file resides in the directory <DepotServer>\<DSMShare>\ReDist.

Configuring Microsoft SQL Express

Configure the installation of the SQL database.

• Select Use your own Setup.ini file: Import existing settings from a setup.INI file if you have already stored a configuration with all settings.
• Define the security settings for database access and the password for the database user.
• Define the SQL Express Server collation to specify the regional and language settings.

Define The Location Of The Database

If you want to change the default path to the database directory (c:\Program Files\SQL), please define another one.

Specify User Accounts For The SQL Services

Please define the access permissions for database administration.
