Restarting the DSM Client

You may have to restart the DSM Client when troubleshooting problems on a managed computer. For this purpose, the active services of the DSM Client will be stopped and then restarted.

To be able to restart a computer's DSM Client you need the right to execute the task Manage users and computers.

How to stop and restart a computer's DSM Client:

1. Select the respective computer in the Object window.
2. Choose the task Troubleshooting > Restart the DSM Client.

   The relevant Management Point runs the restart of the DSM Client as an infrastructure task in the background. You can view the status of infrastructure tasks in the DSMC's Infrastructure Tasks window.
