Changing the DSM configuration (Terminal Server)
Integrating Terminal Servers in Ivanti DSM
In Ivanti DSM, Terminal Servers can be managed in
the same way as all other computers:
First, the respective Terminal Server is inserted in the organization tree
either by importing it, manually creating it, or with AutoInsert.
Then the Terminal Server is ready for use. The same applies to Terminal
Server farms.
Managing Terminal Servers in the Organization Tree
To manage Terminal Servers and especially Terminal Server
farms efficiently in Ivanti DSM, we recommend handling Terminal Servers
separately in the organization tree.
Generally we recommend creating separate OUs or (at least) groups for Terminal
Servers in the organization tree. This makes assigning packages and defining
maintenance plans much easier.
If you want to import Terminal Servers (e.g. from the Active Directory),
we recommend that you keep the structure specified there and, if necessary,
extend the structure with additional groups.
You can specify the installation requirements for software (packages) on Terminal Servers in the organization tree.
