Import Criteria
Starting with DSM 2017, you can use different user and computer related import criteria to define AutoInsert rules. The source for the rule may either be OSD or NetInstall, the criteria is different in each case (see list below). Linux uses the OSD rules.
The criteria you can use to formulate complex conditions with, is imported to an LDAP Filter Editor; the following criteria is available: MAC addresses, SmBiosGUIDs, IPv4 and IPv6 address ranges or information from the basic inventory. This also allows you to create user and computer objects with the last known site.
With these import criteria, AutoInsert rules can be used more flexibly. For example, overlapping AutoInsert rules are possible now, in which case several rules use the same filter and the order of the rules determines which rule applies first.
The following user and/or computer properties can be employed with the LDAP Filter Editor:
User:
- User.DomainName
- User.DisplayNameAD
-
User.FullName
